I swear, Pokemon RP groups are like crack.  I think I'm off of them then BAM, I'm addicted again. I stumbled across this group about a week ago, (right as their opening was coming to a close, ironically enough) and my brain was like "OMG LET'S MAKE A CHARACTER FOR THIS".  It kept bugging me until I finally caved and came up with this fuzzball.  Because my brain is traitorous and dumb and I have other things to do besides stalk fun looking groups darnit.</sub>

Phoebe has boundless enthusiasm and is constantly looking at the bright side of life.  She meets day-to-day challenges head on and with a smile on her face.  She's very rarely blue and enjoys bringing a little sunshine to someone when they're having a bad day.

Curiosity is what drives Phoebe.  Very interested in the world around her, she wants to learn everything on how things work and why.  When she finds a subject that grabs her interest, she pursues it with determination and fervor.  She won't be content until she knows everything possible about that particular topic and enjoys sharing her findings with like-minded people.

Phoebe enjoys being around people and is generally very friendly to both friends and strangers alike. She likes getting to know the people around her and is easy to befriend.  Once you're her friend, you can count on her to have your back no matter the situation.

As smart as Phoebe is, she can be a bit absentminded at times.  Her zeal for everything that is of interest to her often leaves everything else to be ignored. Mundane things hold very little interest to her. So what if she forgot to call her parents and tell them that there's a parent/teacher meeting? She'll phone  them later.  So what if her room looks like a tornado blew through it? It doesn't bother her. There are much more interesting things to be spending her time on.  So don't be surprised if she forgot something that could be kind of considered important, chances are it got sidelined in favor of that intriguing article about Moon Stones and Deoxys.

Phoebe is also a bit materialistic, as she grew up receiving everything her heart desired.  She often spends a lot of time buying things  that she really doesn't need. I.e. clothes, shoes, accessories for her phone, etc.  But she tries to curb this out by buying gifts for friends instead. 

(-)Impatient and Stubborn

She is constantly on the go, and expects everyone else to keep up with her.  When people or things don't pick up the pace, she starts complaining (which gets old quickly).  She's been told time and time again that she's too impatient, but it hasn't sunk in yet.  In addition, she can be rather stubborn and hard-headed.  If she has latched onto a particular thought/fact/belief and someone argues that it is wrong, she will defend that position fiercely; sometimes to the point of being obstinate.

 History:

Born in Nimbasa City, Phoebe was the only child to the prominent Marquettes.  Her father was a businessman who owned a successful construction company that was in charge of the maintenance of Nimbasa's stadiums and amusement park.  Her mother was one of the top fashion models in Unova and was known for her passion in the field of fashion.   When Phoebe was still a toddler, her mother was offered a job at a modeling agency in Lumoise City. Since the city was the center of the modeling industry, it was decided that this opportunity would help further her mother's career.  The job paid off and her mother shot up the ranks in the industry.  The downside was that her mother wasn't around a lot when Phoebe was young, and as such, has few early memories of her. 

With her mother pursuing her career, Phoebe's father stayed behind in Nimbasa to raise the girl.  He began to work from home more often to spend time with his young daughter and would bring her with him to the company if he was needed there; because of his decision to be a presence in her life, Phoebe developed a close relationship with her father that stands to this day.  From a very early age, Phoebe displayed an inquisitive  streak a mile wide.  She would constantly ask questions and quickly learned how to read.  Recognizing her potential intelligence, her father encouraged a love of learning and reinforced it by giving her access to a number of learning tools.  By the time was about to start school, Phoebe could read above her age level and had a basic understanding of subjects such as geography, grammar/spelling and math.  Once she started school, Phoebe began to shine.  In addition to doing very well academically, she quickly became friends with all of the children in her class.  Since she never had any siblings, Phoebe was ecstatic in meeting other kids her age.  Each day, Phoebe would come home all a twitter about school and her friends, relaying the day's events to her father with excitement.   

Phoebe's talent for academics continued as she got older.  As she got introduced to science, math, history and other subjects, Phoebe's love for learning grew.  At the same time, she retained her bubbly, social nature and enjoyed interacting with her classmates;  she maintained a large circle of friends in school.  By the time she reached middle school, she was a star student and was well liked by her peers. 

As she entered her teens, her mother starting coming home more often.  In spite of her mother's absence for most of her life at this point, Phoebe maintained an amicable and pleasant relationship with her mother; but they did not share the close bond as Phoebe had with her father.  It wasn't long before her mother began to notice Phoebe's potential to become a model.  Eager at the possibility of her daughter following in her footsteps, her mother quickly talked Phoebe into starting modeling classes.  At first, Phoebe was thrilled at the idea of spending more time with her mother and enjoyed traveling to Lumoise City to the various photoshoots and shows.  It was here that Phoebe was introduced to social media, fashion, dance and COFFEE.

For about a year, Phoebe enjoyed being involved in the modeling sphere and  spending time with her mother.  However, her school life began to suffer.  Her grades started to drop and she started  to miss out activities with her friends.  It was when she received her first bad report card that Phoebe's world was shaken up.  Realizing that she missed her school life and friends, she became reluctant to do anything that involved modeling.  Her mother soon saw Phoebe's unwillingness to continue in modeling, but instead of talking to her about it, her mother grew frustrated and began insisting that her daughter continue down this path.  In her mind, Phoebe still had a shot of being a star.  Phoebe's reaction to her mother's insistence was negative.  She became intentionally stubborn and would put up a fight over going to shows or the modeling classes.  Her mother didn't handle the situation any better, and soon, both women were arguing at every opportunity.  After one particularly nasty argument, Phoebe took off.  Hurt and upset, Phoebe called her father and begged to come home.  He quickly arranged for a flight out of Kalos to Unova and informed his wife that Phoebe was coming home.  Once home, her father requested that she tell him what was going on.  Phoebe then launched into detail about school, missing her friends, her not wanting to be involved in modeling and more importantly, the tensions between herself and her mother.  She confessed that she wanted to go back to school, as she missed everything about it.   

Knowing that this was going to derail his wife's plans, he called her and discussed everything that Phoebe had told him and then listened to his wife's side.  He managed to placate her and convinced her to allow Phoebe to decide what she wanted to do.  He then got Phoebe and, through a three-way call, helped smooth things over between his wife and daughter, even getting them to apologize to each other.  By the end, her mother grudgingly agreed that Phoebe should be able to chart her own course, but implied that modeling was always still an option.  Unfortunately, things remained awkward between Phoebe and her mother for months because of their differing opinions and the physical distance between them. 

Afterwards, Phoebe went back to school, but things weren't the same.  She felt alienated and alone, which saddened the girl.  Her ever observant father saw this and suggested that Phoebe needed a fresh start.  Eager at this idea, Phoebe began looking at new schools and both she and her father decided on St. Mortiel in Sinnoh.  As a school with an excellent academic program, this opportunity looked promising and her father filled out the forms necessary for her to transfer to the school.

Awaiting the final decision on her acceptance to the St. Mortiel, Phoebe is over the moon and excited to see what is in store for her...

 Extra/Fun Facts:

-Phoebe is an extrovert who loves people and enjoys being around them.  She also has a tendency to be a chatterbox, so don't be surprised if she talks your ears off.

-She gets a kick out of social media and likes to interact with her followers.

-She is constantly taking pictures/selfies of everything and will often try to include other people in them as well.  If one doesn't want their picture taken, just tell her. She'll understand.

-She's addicted to coffee and cannot function without her morning cup.

-Is left-handed

-She dislikes spicy dishes, horror movies and being teased about her height.

-Very affectionate and loves giving out hugs and being physically affectionate towards people.  However, she will back off if someone doesn't enjoy being touched.

-Phoebe's a hopeless romantic.  However, she doesn't quite know how to express her interest in a boy and often speaks before she thinks which leads to some hilariously awkward attempts at flirting. 

-Within the first week of school, Phoebe acquired some of the Pinkan berries that were circulating the school. The result being that her formerly blonde lowlights turned pink.  She ended up liking it a lot and made it to be a permanent change.

-Turns out that she has a sassy streak in her, along with a fondness for flirtatious teasing.
